Little Miss party animal!

Just call Leila the Halloween party animal! Yesterday morning we went to Civic Park to meet up with some of Leila's baby friends, and some of my mommy friends! We got to see all sort of cute little ones dressed up, and had a great time!

Then, last night we went to downtown Livermore's trick-or-treat festival. (Something I've been going to since I was little!) Leila had a BLAST collecting candy from all of the vendors! We ate dinner at a great new restaurant, called The Carvery, and much to Leila's chagrin we made her eat some turkey instead of m&m's!

After a long day of Halloween activities, Leila decided she was tired, and sat down in the middle of the street. That's when we figured it was time to head home. Leila slept very well last night!

Nordstrom Trick-or-Treat Breakfast

On Saturday morning, we went to the Nordstrom Trick-or-Treat breakfast! After a last minute costume change of heart (long story, but Leila WAS going to be a skunk - the costume is sitting in her closet - if anyone needs an 18m. Tom Arma skunk cosume, email me!) she decided she wanted to be a ballerina. We met up with our friends Lisa and Emily, and had a fabulous time!

We all had a big breakfast of french toast, bacon and cantaloupe (Leila ate more than me!) and after breakfast the girls got to trick-or-treat throughout the store! They liked the candy, but had way more fun in the shoe section - Lisa and I were so proud!

I think these two are BFFs!

The Pumpkin Patch, part 2

On Friday we went to a great Pumpkin Patch in Half Moon Bay! The weather was GORGEOUS!! (Which was fab, but a tad annoying - accuweather.com said it would be 65 degrees in Half Moon Bay, so we all wore warm clothes, but when we got there it was at least 80!!) Anyways, Leila loved everything about this Pumpkin Patch! They had a train, a tractor ride, a jumpy house, a petting zoo, and her favorite thing in the entire world....PONY RIDES! (Not to mention zillions of pumpkins!) It was packed because there were a lot of field trips, but we still had an awesome time! I waited in line for a half hour for Leila to ride a pony, while her and Tony went to the petting zoo. We even ran into Leila's friend, Tiernan and his family! After spending a good two hours at the pumpkin patch we decided (after lots of begging!) that Leila could ride the ponies one more time. She had a blast, and I swear - if we win the lotto the first thing we're doing is buying that girl a pony!

For those who are wondering, the sticking out the tongue thing is new, I don't know where it came from, and I am NOT a big fan of it.
Goosing the goose:

Daddy, I want that giant pumpkin:
Leila's adorable buddy, Tiernan:

She was so sad that we couldn't take one home:
And, finally we actually got some pumpkins:

the Pumpkin Patch with friends!

This morning, Leila and I had a great Pumpkin Patch playdate with our friends April and Ty, and Erica, Sean and Aiden. The kids all had a blast, and especially loved running through the maze. We were joking that we should have taken before and after pictures, because the kids ended up so dusty!

We all came home with pumpkins, and had a great time!

She's famous...kind of ; )

A few weeks ago we went to Baby Darrian's first birthday party, thrown by my fabulously talented friend, Michelle. The party was circus-themed and hand's down the cutest party I have ever been to! Michelle used all sorts of creative touches, and the party was featured on one of my favorite websites, Hostess With The Mostess which is where I've gotten many great ideas!

A cluster of pictures, with four children is on the blog, and Leila is in it! You can check out the rest of the story and lots of party pictures here. Great job, Michelle!

My sweet girl

Leila's (current) favorite song is the Sesame Street "Sing a Song" She loves to say "Sing, Mama!" and she says it in a sing-songy tone. She's been putting together a lot of two and three word sentences lately and today she sang to me "Sing happy, mama!" (as in the line "Sing of happy, not sad...") I started singing her song, and when it got to the "lalalalalala" part she started singing along.

It was very sweet!

Here's *SUPER* old-school version of the song so you know what I'm talking about, if you didn't already:
